"Togo and Nogo was great fun. The children were absolutely enthralled by the whole road safety performance."
MJ Jackson, St Mary's Catholic Primary School, Derbyshire
Togo and Nogo
When Togo and Nogo press the wrong button in their spaceship, they find themselves crash landing on Earth. Without the assistance of the audience and some very important people, they will never mend their rocket and get home.
Using Manchester City Council's Togo and Nogo education package and reaching over 30,000 Key Stage 1 students across the UK, our Road Safety play, 'Blast Off with Togo and Nogo', exceeded expectations and received high praise from both pupils and teachers alike.
Our Togo and Nogo package is both memorable and highly motivating. Designed in conjunction with National Curriculum guidelines and appropriate key stages, it reinforces road safety messages such as:
- How to cross the road - Green Cross Code, safer crossing places - zebra, puffin/pelican, School Crossing Patrol
- Wearing bright clothes and holding hands and walking safely on the pavement
- Traffic - anything on the road that has wheels and the danger of parked vehicles
- People who help us Police Officer, School Crossing Patrol, someone older, who we know and trust
This colourful and interactive schools performance combines essential key messages with energetic theatre and puppetry to provide a unique learning experience.
"The message was really clear and it was done in a child-friendly way which is obviously so important. Even our less able children that haven't got a good grasp of the English language completely understood the concept. It was a great success."
Miss Oliver - Pear Tree Infant School, Derby
